Tensions have risen between HJK’s leadership and its supporter groups after the club temporarily closed the Klubipääty stand due to safety concerns. The move follows earlier sanctions from the Finnish Football Association for crowd disturbances.

HJK'S Supporter groups Forza HJK and Klubipääty have strongly criticized the decision, particularly the club’s plan to introduce personalized ticketing. They argue that the measures unfairly punish the wider fan community instead of targeting a small group responsible for misconduct, and warn that the restrictions threaten traditional tifo culture and volunteer-driven supporter activities.

HJK defends the actions as necessary for safety, emphasizing that stand closures, stricter security, and personalized season tickets aim to prevent further incidents. The club has engaged with supporters, police, and security officials, and says it is prepared to escalate measures if disruptions continue.

The dispute centers on finding a balance between maintaining stadium safety and preserving the organized supporter culture that plays a key role in the club’s identity. Both sides say they are open to dialogue, but tensions remain high as the situation develops.
